Holiday Fused Glass Class

In these holiday classes, you will decorate a set of two holiday trees. Instructor cuts undecorated tree shapes out of clear, white, red or green glass. You will decorate them with frit, stringers, noodles, pebbles, confetti or scrap glass. Tree set includes one small 3 x 4.5" tree and one medium 3.5 x 6" tree. Instructor will fire glass pieces and attach to wood tree trunks. No fusing or glass experience required.
Fusing Class - Level 1

In these small, beginner classes, you will learn about the materials used in fusing and how to clean and assemble them. You will also learn how to use a straight edge cutter and some basic hand cutting techniques. There will be time to make one large square or rectangular project. Left over glass can be used to make smaller projects. Most sheet glass and third layer adornments included. Any specialty glass used may be extra.

Make one or more bowls, plates, tiles, coasters, jewelry and more. The projects are shaped to ceramic or stainless steel molds; Iris Creations has over 50 molds available for student use. Work on projects at your own pace, or learn more details about firing schedules, setting up your own kiln, kiln wash, molds, fiber paper, or other fusing techniques. Amount you spend on materials and firing fees depends upon how many projects you make. Glass cutting skills recommended but not required.
